THE COSAMA COLLECTIVE
The COSAMA Collective is the first beachfront co-working resort in General Luna, Siargao Island, Philippines that will be combining work and play for location independent workers. This will be opening on summer 2017.
COSAMA Collective is my first major branding project.
Combining both space and the concept of the company, I created a logo that will catch the attention of people who are more into arts and adventure, keen on details and colors, and of course, will speak the main idea of the company, Work + Play.
Coming from the main concept of COSAMA Collective, Work + Play. I thought of visuals that are easy to understand. Bulb, to represent that a great workspace can boost creativity. Wave, to represent its location which is in Siargao, one of the surfing spots in the Philippines. And surfboard, to represent the activities that COSAMA offers, like skill sharing classes such as crossfit, jiu jitsu bootcamps and etc.
Choosing the colors for this was really a challenge, combining work and play is a bit contradicting. Since the resort location's views consisted of waves, trees and people, I mixed the earthy colors blue and green to represent the fun and tropical experience.
It took me a while to end up with the one that best fit the personality of COSAMA Collective. From 3 initial ideas to making 43 different waves, it was definitely a big challenge for me but it was totally worth it.
Here is my mockup proposal. My design will be applied to the following materials: Website, signage, brand colors will be integrated into the interior design, branding collaterals such as business cards, flyers, brochures, social media, PR kits, digital media, stickers, T-shirts, water bottles and etc.
